Dr. Juan D. Cardenas, D.D.S.,C.A.G.S.
Dr. Juan Diego Cardenas is a highly skilled and experienced Prosthodontist
providing patients with specialized prosthodontic care as well as comprehensive general and cosmetic services at Dental Solutions of Miami. Dr. Cardenas received his general dentistry degree from Fundacion Universitaria San Martin, Bogota, Colombia in 1986. After a few years in private practice, Dr. Cardenas was accepted into Boston University where he received a certificate for Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics in 1993. It provided the foundation for the specialized care he provides today.
Dr. Cardenas began his private practice career in 1994, and in 2002 inaugurated a state-of-the-art practice in Miami with the main focus on oral rehabilitation and implant dentistry. Dr. Cardenas has lectured nationally and internationally on implant therapy and advanced cosmetic dentistry. He also participates actively in several study groups.
In addition to his extensive training and practice experience, Dr. Cardenas also remains actively involved within the fields of dentistry and prosthodontics as a member of:
- American College of Prosthodontists
- International College of Prosthodontists
- Florida Prosthodontic Association
- American Dental Association
Dr. Cardenas previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, and remains committed to providing patients with the latest and most advanced treatments available through his attendance and participation in dental presentations and courses across the country.
On his leisure time, Dr. Cardenas enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.
Dr. Alvaro Maya, D.M.D., C.A.G.S., M.Sc.D.
Dr. Alvaro Maya is a Prosthodontist with 25 years of experience providing patients with state-of-the-art care at Dental Solutions of Miami. Previously, Dr. Maya practiced in Massachusetts, and served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Boston University and Tufts University. Dr. Maya joined the United States Army Reserved and has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005 and 2007.
Dr. Maya graduated with his dental degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Facultad de Odontología and honed his skills as a practicing dentist in Colombia, after which he moved to the US. He was accepted to the Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry, where he completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics, a Master of Dental Science degree and a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree. This extensive education provided Dr. Maya with an advanced knowledge with which he provides his patients an exceptional quality of care.
Dedicated to remaining on the cutting edge of dental treatments, Dr. Maya has participated in several research studies, and his work has appeared in leading publications and has been a speaker at national and international meetings. He has attended many continuing education courses as well throughout his practice. Dr. Maya is also a member of several professional organizations, including:

- American College of Prosthodontists
On his leisure time Dr. Maya enjoys scuba diving, playing basketball with his two kids and riding his motorcycle.
